Article: Get Your Joy Back

Get Your Joy Back

Get Your Joy Back

Our joy in our everyday lives comes from understanding our position with Christ – who He is, who are we in Him, and the wonderful things He has done in our place. The joy of the Lord is our strength. It is the firm, unshakeable conviction that God loves us and is working everything for our good.

So how do we experience and grow in the joy of the Lord?

Pray

Prayer is our lifeline to Jesus. Cling on to Jesus through prayer, and ask Him to reshape your day and give you His overwhelming, satisfying joy.

Read the Bible

God's word held forth as a primary source of the joy of the Lord. Immerse yourself in God's Word, go to the fountain and drink from where the joy is found.

Meditate on the character of God

Intentionally call to mind and meditate upon the character of God in your daily life. Remind yourself that our God is faithful. He is always on our side and nothing will ever change that.

In Christ, you are promised blessings after blessings. Make a daily choice to drink from the fountain of the gospel, and experience the joy of the Lord as your strength! ◡̈
