What The Lord Wants You To Know In Your Season Of Pain

It may be from falling off the wagon, a broken heart, losing someone you love, or receiving unexpected bad news. Such pain can be excruciating.

Yet in every season of pain comes with a precious lesson to be learned.

What is God telling you in the middle of your pain? Tap.

You are not alone.

Remember in Daniel 3 when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down and worship the idol that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up? They were thrown into the giant furnace to be executed, but God was with them in the fire when they needed Him the most (Daniel 3:25).

God has promised that He will be there when you need Him. In John 14, Jesus said that we will never be left alone, and that He would send the Holy Spirit to be with us and give us peace.

Hebrews 13:5b ...because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Your pain has a purpose.

God uses all things — even painful things — for our good. He wants to work in our pain to make us more like Jesus.

Our pain is never in vain. God allows pain because He knows it is ultimately for our greater good. He doesn't cause all things, but He will cause them to work together for our good. We can have the hope and trust that we can come out on the other side looking a little more like Jesus!

There is something better.

Our pain is not the end of the story. In Romans 8:18, Paul writes, "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." We can endure the pain when we know that God has something better for us. There is a crown of glory at the end.

This is not our home. There is also no pain in heaven. We may be suffering now, and we may be in excruciating pain now, but we can find hope in knowing that there is something better that's coming.

Take heart. Remember – You are a child of God. You are deeply loved by Him. Don't give up. ◡̈
